Brotherhood
Philanthropy
Summary
For the 5th annual Beta Challenge, the Gamma Xi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi is proud to host "Beta Bring it On 2010." A competitive cheerleading competition designed to challenge the mental, physical, and creative abilities of the expected 200 participants from Panhellenic, and Multi-Cultural Sororities. After performing to a sold out crowd of over a thousand students and raising over $12,000 last year, we hope to improve on last years success. This year "Beta Bring it On" will take place at the Philips Center on February 15th. Profits directly benefit the Thomas Oliver Brown Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship fund established by Mr. and Mrs. Brown four years ago in memory of their son and our brother, Tom.
Participation
The Gamma Xi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi continues its recent success in all aspects of Greek life. The philanthropic activities have been just as prolific. Beta won 1st place in Delta Gamma’s Anchor Splash competition and participated in Zeta Line Dance, Alpha Delta Pi’s King of the Court, and Delta Zeta’s Clay Classic. Beta will continue to support the community in the future by putting its best foot forward in future sorority philanthropies.
